Description: Built in the late 19th century and protected by the Italian Ministry of Culture, Grand Hotel Gardone has long embodied the Belle Époque spirit on Lake Garda’s western shore. Its transformation will preserve the property’s unique architectural heritage while introducing a refined contemporary spirit, reflecting LXR Hotels & Resorts’ dedication to authentic experiences and the timeless pursuit of adventure.
De.Tales leads the design of the project with a concept which reinterprets the hotel’s relationship with the lake through light, rhythm, and spatial fluidity, introducing a modern architectural language that complements the historic façade. Key elements include a restored entrance, a new indoor pool pavilion overlooking the water and revitalised interior spaces. Together, these features invite guests on a seamless journey, where nature, light, and memory intertwine to create unforgettable moments.
“Guided by a design philosophy that unites a modern spirit with a timeless soul, we envisioned Grand Hotel Gardone Lake Garda as an icon whose Belle Époque legacy is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, celebrating the dialogue between heritage and modernity, nature and architecture, memory and innovation.” – Igor Rebosio, co-founder & design director and Giuseppe Varsavia, co-founder & managing director, De.Tales.
